Teams can automatically start the update process (depending on the policy) or users can manually check for updates by going to the ellipsis (...) menu next to their profile picture and selecting Check for updates. Both methods use the following sequence of events.
A failed update can result in unpredictable app behavior. For example, users may be unable to exit Teams, have a stale version of Teams, or can't start Teams. If you experience an issue during an update, the first place to look to find the cause is %LocalAppData%\SquirrelTemp\SquirrelSetup.log. Here are the different types of update failures, listed from most common to least common, and how to analyze and troubleshoot them using logs.
As Teams determines that it needs to update itself to a newer version, it downloads and stages the new app, and then waits for an opportunity to restart itself the next time the machine is idle. A common issue during this process is when another process or a file system driver locks up the Teams.exe process, which prevents Teams.exe from exiting. As a result, the Teams app can't be replaced by the newly-downloaded and staged app.
Teams creates a number of subfolders and files in the user's profile throughout the installation and update process. Because the app and the updater run as a non-elevated user, read and write permissions must be granted on the following folders:
In some cases, encryption software can change files in the %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Teams folder, which can prevent Teams from starting. This can happen at any time, even when the app isn't being updated. When a file is corrupted, the only way to recover from this state is to uninstall and re-install Teams.

The flatpak build is new and has known limitations, though it will likely provide faster updates, following GIMP releases closely. Therefore choose your installation medium according to your needs.
This installation will also provide regular update. You don't have to come back on this page and install again (it will not work!) when a new version of GIMP is released. Instead if your distribution and/or desktop has a good support for flatpak, it should propose to perform updates. Once again, if your distribution does not have proper support, you can always fall back to using the following command line:

This topic describes how to install or update the latest release of the AWS Command Line Interface (AWS CLI) on supported operating systems. For information on the latest releases of AWS CLI, see the AWS CLI version 2 Changelog on GitHub.
Download the AWS CLI signature file for the package you downloaded. It has the same path and name as the .zip file it corresponds to, but has the extension .sig. In the following examples, we save it to the current directory as a file named awscliv2.sig.
When updating from a previous version, the unzip command prompts to overwrite existing files. To skip these prompts, such as with script automation, use the -u update flag for unzip. This flag automatically updates existing files and creates new ones as needed.
Run the standard macOS installer program, specifying the downloaded .pkg file as the source. Use the -pkg parameter to specify the name of the package to install, and the -target / parameter for which drive to install the package to. The files are installed to /usr/local/aws-cli, and a symlink is automatically created in /usr/local/bin. You must include sudo on the command to grant write permissions to those folders.
Download the pkg installer using the curl command. The -o option specifies the file name that the downloaded package is written to. In this example, the file is written to AWSCLIV2.pkg in the current folder.
To update your current installation of AWS CLI on Windows, download a new installer each time you update to overwrite previous versions. AWS CLI is updated regularly. To see when the latest version was released, see the AWS CLI version 2 Changelog on GitHub.
System Update downloads data updates for software, drivers and BIOS from a Lenovo server directly over the Internet without requiring specific user knowledge of where the package is located or if it is needed by the target system.
